We offer three Sunday morning services.
There are two more traditional services held in the sanctuary of Sparta UMC at 9am and 11am. There is also a conversational style worship offering, Hope Fellowship, that begins at 10am at Muddy Creek Music Hall.
The Traditional service is just what you would expect from a traditional service filled with hymns, a spoken message and scripture. The Hope Fellowship Service is for those that want more of a relaxed, conversational approach to worship in a non-traditional space. There is no sung music and the Word of God comes alive through the conversation that is generated among the people.

Our mission is to create a warm, inclusive community where everyone can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, connect with others on life’s journey, find support and encouragement, and serve others with joy. Everyone is welcome. There is no dress code. You will not be made to stand up and introduce yourself or be called out as a guest in the middle of worship. Come as you are. Sit where you are comfortable. Participate at the level of engagement that is most appropriate for you. All are welcome!
Children and Youth
Children and youth are invited to participate in worship. All of our worship services are open to people of all ages. There are worship bags available to children who come to worship in the sanctuary space. At Hope Fellowship there are also activities available for children and adults alike.
Finding Your Way
If you are planning to attend worship in the Sanctuary at SUMC, the best way to enter the sanctuary is through the double wooden doors located nearest the sanctuary.
If you are planning to attend worship at Muddy Creek as a part of Hope Fellowship, please use the front door of Muddy Creek Restaurant and walk all the way to the back into the music hall.
Online Worship
We are grateful you have chosen to worship at Sparta UMC via online worship. You are an integral part of our community of faith. Our worship service is available livestream each Sunday morning at 11am and on demand via our worship archives thereafter.
